Long time no hear!
Sadly, news items at Mulu have been few and far between this year, which is not like us at all. Well, we may have been a bit quiet on the surface, but underneath our legs have been paddling furiously. We’re not going to duck the issue though: We haven’t been in touch enough!
Hopefully we can begin to rectify that by telling you a few of the latest developments here.
Nursery visits: Our plants are available to view and purchase at our nursery near Macclesfield in Cheshire. You must make an appointment prior to visiting so we can make sure someone is on hand to guide you around.
New telephone number: It’s taken an age to organise but finally we have a new number for you to call. Please telephone if you would like to view our plants; place an order; or wish to discuss plant choice, suitability etc. If we can’t get to the ‘phone please leave a message with your name, and a contact number, and we will promptly return your call.
Mulu Hotline: 01625 449013

What about the Plants?
Changing times, both at Mulu and in the wider world, have dictated changes to our product range. However, we are now looking to create an even wider choice for our customers, which we will continue to develop into 2010.
In the meantime some of the current highlights include:
Trachycarpus wagnerianus – the No1 palm for outdoor cultivation in the UK. Hardy to at least minus 15°C, and more wind resistant that its close cousin T. fortunei, this stunning palm is simply the best choice for your garden. We have a range of sizes from small to large.
Paulownia tomentosa – this beautiful large-leafed tree is available at a bargain price of £27.50 for plants up to 2.5m tall.
Bamboo – tall Phyllostachys species or bushy tight-clumping Fargesia species
Chamaerops humilis – we have superb specimens of this hardy palm, as well as its cousins C. humilis Vulcano, and C. humilis Cerifera coming soon.
Cordyline australis – thick trunked specimens ready to rock ‘n’ roll by the end of this week as well as a range of smaller sizes and different coloured cultivars.
Add to these bananas, citrus, cycads, olives, palms and more in a dizzying range of shapes and sizes.
So, if we promise to keep in touch more, and tempt you with new goodies, will you promise to keep dropping by?
You’d be quackers not to.
